We typically start by assessing the roof and building exterior. We then enter the basement (or crawlspace), then work our way up each floor and room, and into accessible attic spaces, assessing various electrical, plumbing and heating systems along the way.
A standard home inspection of a detached house takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours to complete, depending on the square footage, number of rooms, and age of the home, among other factors. Larger homes or additional buildings / services may incur additional time, and smaller homes such as townhouses and condos often take less.
During this time, you are welcome to stay on the property, or come back towards the end of our inspection, where we can conclude with an in-person walk-through of the property with you, giving you valuable insight into our findings.
